The Singapore branch
of Dragages was set up in 1984 to build Newton MRT station
and since then Dragages Singapore has become increasingly active
in the local construction market where it has earned a reputation
as a reliable and innovative contractor.
It is responsible for a number of prestigious projects in Singapore,
among them, the renovation of the historic Fullerton Building.
This involved the transformation of the original 1920s building
into a five-star hotel, The Fullerton Singapore which achieved
the URA Architectural Heritage award in 2001. The overall project
also included the design and construction of One Fullerton,
a striking new restaurant and office complex opposite the hotel.
Previous projects include the Ritz-Carlton Millenia hotel,
the Millenia and Centennial Tower office buildings, Millenia
Walk retail mall, and a number of condominium projects including
The Equatorial, The Sterling, Hazel Park, The Floravale and
The Ladyhill luxury condominium. Currently it is engaged on
The Belmond Green condominium and The Savannah CondoPark.
At the invitation of the Building Construction Authority and
in line with the Singapore Government’s Construction
21 process, Dragages is in regular contact with the local industry
to share expertise on its methods for construction productivity
and buildability.
In 1996, Dragages Singapore was certified to ISO9001, the first
time for a main contractor in Singapore. In 1999, it also gained
ISO14001 certification for its environmental management system,
and OHSAS 18001 for its corporate safety management system.
It has also been the recipient of various industry awards including
most recently the BCA’s Award for Construction Excellence
2003 for The Equatorial and The Floravale as well as the BCA’s
Best Buildable Design Award 2003 for the Equatorial.
We look
forward to hearing from you.
